Posted By Kelly Ng | Date: 19 March 2010
Mitsubishis racing division Ralliart is set to close there doors, ending a succesfull motorsport era. Ralliart Inc website has released a notice announcing the closure, which the company attributes to global economic conditions. Ralliarts closure shouldnt make to much of a difference since Mitsubishi has opted out of motorsport. Mitsubishi 20 motorsport engineers were transfered to electric vehicle projects. The Ralliart name will survive, aswell as the Lancer Evolution line of cars will continue, Since the Evo Vi was succeded by the VII the lancer has been developed in house by Mitsubishi engineers with only minute amount of input from Ralliart Inc.
